
The piston metering valve works on the principle of a piston pump - a piston moves inside a cylinder of constant diameter. The working material is fed through the inlet port, the piston, under the influence of pressure from the metering device, moves to the extreme "open" position, thereby providing a free volume in the valve cylinder, which is filled with working material. The air pressure applied to the closing port forces the working material out of the cylinder through the outlet port. The dose volume of the material is determined by the size of the piston stroke
